4th of July Parking for Asharoken Fireworks

Street closures planned; parking at Crab Meadow Beach limited to Town residents only.

Town officials are taking extra precautions this year in anticipation of large crowds flocking to to view the lauded display on July 4.

Parking at Crab Meadow Beach will be limited to Town residents only. The town expects the lot to fill up by 8 p.m. Once the Crab Meadow parking lot is full, traffic will be diverted at the intersection of Waterside Road and Eatons Neck Road, and Waterside will be shut at Waterside and West Street. The town will place large electronic signs along Waterside notifying people of the traffic changes.

The fireworks will be launched from a barge on the sound side of Asharoken Avenue and will begin at approximately 9:20 p.m., weather permitting. The raindate is Thursday, July 5.

There is no parking on any Asharoken Village street and there are no public parking facilities in the Village. Due to expected excessive traffic congestion, all traffic and parking laws will be strictly enforced. Personal fireworks are strictly prohibited.
