To be honest, the LIGHTS that we have downtown would do well for an update. If the town was really,Read More really lit up it would make it more of a destination year round. The current ones are OK, but are showing their age. Nice, new LEDS (and much more of them) would be incredible. There is a small town in Florida that hired lighting designers to work with the town, now it is an international destination. I don't recall where but I remember reading an article on it..Really nice. People love lights. The kiosk – while nice – does nothing to make the town more of a destination. People don't give a shit about kiosks. Do you? Flooding is a huge issue as well - but 250K would do nothing towards fixing the huge issue that it really is.

These booths will require maintaining and eventually some politician will want to hire aRead More relative to run the booth and taxpayers will be on the hook for pensions and health insurance. Use the money towards solving the flooding problem instead.

Just print flyers and place them in the Northport Stores. Lots of money saved.
