VIDEO: Longboarding the North Shore
A father and son duo have teamed up to bring longboarding to the streets of Northport and beyond.
Northport-based organization the North Shore Cruisers seeks to promote the sport of longboarding, a form of skateboarding with a surfing lineage, along the north shore of Long Island while encouraging kids in a positive direction through camaraderie and community involvement.
Founder Scott Norcott and his son Larry, 16, formed the organization nearly two years ago through a love of the sport and have since amassed over 100 local followers of all ages. North Shore Cruisers has participated in the charity event in East Northport's and is seeking to do more charity work this year.
