Northport Downs Pat-Med in Double OT Thriller

Northport took the lead over Raiders with a 20-yard touchdown pass.

After going into a second overtime period, Northport varsity football beat out Patchogue-Medford, 38-31, at Saturday’s home game.

According to Newsday, Northport took the lead over Raiders with a 20-yard touchdown pass in the second overtime when Connor Quinn got the ball to Ken Radigan.

According to the report, the Raiders had a chance to tie or take the lead when it had possession during the second overtime but Northport’s defense made three straight stops.

Both teams scored touchdowns during the first overtime.

Northport varsity football's next game will be away at Connetquot on Friday at 6 p.m.
