West Islip is still West Islip. But the Northport High School boys lacrosse team is not afriad.
The defending state champions beat Northport in the Suffolk Class A quarterfinals a year ago and so too will the path to the 2013 title run through West Islip.
But with a veteran coaching staff led by George Searing. A trio of scorers -- Brian Cannon, Sean Gilroy and John Trainor -- give this offense punch.
