Long Island Football Championship: Glenn vs. Roosevelt

plays for its second straight Long Island Class IV football championship Friday at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. The Knights will face Nassau champ Roosevelt.

The Knights (10-1) , for their second straight Suffolk Division IV title Nov. 17 at Stony Brook. The Knights have won 22 of their last 23 games, dating back to a perfect 12-0 season in 2010.

Roosevelt (8-2) advanced by beating East Rockaway, 21-14, in the Conference IV title game. Running back Erin Parker had 192 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rough Riders have played in 10 Conference finals since 1997, winning six. This is the program's first appearance in the LIC since 2006 when the Rough Riders beat Mount Sinai, 21-14.

The Knights are led by senior quarterback Rich Czeczotka, who is coming off his finest performance. He completed 13 of 19 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns. As the ringmaster of the , Czeczotka also ran for 128 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns against Amityville.

That gives Czeczotka 25 touchdown passes on the season.

Senior wideout Nick Wagner has 36 receptions for 802 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Senior running back Tom Forsberg has rushed for 979 yards on 108 carries and 8 touchdowns.
