Government Shutdown

My restaurant requires an income of approximately $150 per day to 'break even'. That's on a general scale, and not considering a wage to myself. As I have sat, day after day with sales like $30 and $60, as signs that we won't make it through. So I look at this government shut down and 'failure' to pay the deficit, and am ashamed by my country and politicians. In my business, I am in-debt to a lot of different vendors & lenders. But some how I make sure that everyone gets something when I can. I have worked tirelessly for almost 2 years without once taking a payment for myself. My family lives on less than welfare standards so that we might see it survive and succeed. These politicians are 'supposed' to be leaders in business - but their solution is to lock the door like a frustrated teenager and say we are never coming out?! What example is this for small business owners such as myself who are killing ourselves from stress and strife to just try to keep it going? The example says there is no solution and we give up. I am sorely disappointed, because the one last thread of patriotism I had was that we are a country of Strong, Courageous, Determined individuals who are committed to democracy and bravery despite all odds. Even so the example is telling me to stay home today! I refuse to act so desperate and defeated, even though is how I feel inside! I get up today and start a new day, excited to offer something fresh and yummy to eat. I will do what I can with what I have. Today, I am declaring Citizen Stalemate Stimulus day! I reject these teenage antics and offer to Northport a stimulus! 25% off every meal in my restaurant today.
