Witches and Bears Come to Life at Elwood School

Elwood students at James H. Boyd Intermediate School sat captivated by the story of “The Troll Witch and the Bear,” during a visit from professional arts educator and storyteller, Tom Lee.

Lee spent time with the third-grade students exploring the elements of storytelling, such as pattern, rhythm and repetition.        

Throughout the interactive program, which is aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards, the students were able to explore wise choices and the dilemmas of compelling problems as they visualized the story Mr. Lee shared with them.
