Should School Board Meeting Times Be Shortened?

Some meetings run until the witching hours. Is it acceptable?

School board meetings are known to be long--but seven hours? The Northport-East Northport School Board meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and can run until 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. in the morning. Last week the meeting didn't end until around 11:30 p.m.

Do you think there should be a time limit on the meetings or a time limit on speakers? Should there be a certain order of business? Tell us in the comments.
