Northport-East Northport School Board Meeting

The Board of Education will meet at the at 7:30 p.m.

Inspector Stuart Cameron, Commander of the Special Patrol Bureau, will discuss the that the district may use for random drug sweeps of the high school. 

Andrew Manzo, District Chairperson of Social Studies, will introduce Social Studies Department Student of the Month Jacob Littman. Manzo will also announce the Boys and Girls State Leadership Program Award Recipients, sponsored by the . Haley Merritt has received the girls award and Timothy Grant, James Martin, Marc Schwartz have received the boys award.

Haley Merritt is a recipient of First Place Honors in the "A Hero in Service, A Hero at Home" essay contest sponsored by the Suffolk County Women's Bar Association.

Sandra Schumacher, winner of the Library Media Specialist of the Year Award from Western Suffolk BOCES, will be introduced by Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Administration Matt Nelson.
