Absentee Ballot Applications
Absentee ballot applications must be received by the District Clerk by May 10, 2011 if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter or by the day before the vote if the ballot is to be picked up personally by the voter.  All absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the vote, May 17, 2011.

Persons designated by the Suffolk County Board of Elections as permanently disabled pursuant to provisions of the Election Law will automatically receive an absentee ballot and need not apply.

Voter Registration

Prospective voters can register at any District school between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., whenever school is in session, or at the Office of the District Clerk, located at the William J. Brosnan School, 158 Laurel Avenue, Room A109, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.

If you are a resident of the District and are registered to vote with the Suffolk County Board of Elections you are permitted to vote in school district elections as well.

Voter Qualifications
A qualified voter is one who is a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the District for at least thirty days.

Polling Places
Election District 1:  Those District residents living south of the center line of Pulaski Road vote at Fifth Avenue Elementary School.

Election District 2:  Those District residents living north of the center line of Pulaski Road and south of the center line of Route 25A vote at Dickinson Avenue School.

Election District 3:  Those District residents living north of the center line of Route 25A vote at William J. Brosnan School.
