Event Spotlight: Three Public Hearings at Northport Village Board Meeting

Three public hearings will take place at the Northport Village Board of Trustees meeting at 6 p.m. in Village Hall. 

• The Board will consider giving itself the authority to override the State's two percent tax cap for the upcoming fiscal year by a 60 percent vote, effective once filed with the Secretary of State. The override would be valid for only one year. See the .

• The Board will consider increasing longevity pay for certain Village employees to "be consistent with longevity pay of other employees" and finds that the service of the affected employees warrants this increase.
