Woman Arrested for Stealing High-Priced Pup

$1,800 purebred dog stolen from from Yippity Yap pet store on Elwood border, say police.

Krista Kazan, 43, of Hauppauge, was arrested Monday after she allegedly stole a $1,800 purebred dog from a local pet store.

Police say Kazan was identified from security footage as the woman who stole a pug puppy from Yippity Yap pet store on the Elwood/Dix Hills border in February. The dog was reportedly returned to the store by a family member the day after the surveillance photo was released.

Kazan arrested her at her home and charged her with fourth degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. She is due in First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.

You would think by this time, people would know about the cameras and disquise themselves. She gives creedence to the term "dumb blonde" even though she a fake one.

She has Moron written all over her. Her legal fees will be 3X the cost of the pup.

NOT ONLY IS KAZAN AN IDIOT, READ THE COMMENTS IN TODAYS NEWSDAY BY HER ATTORNEY P. STEIN. HE STATED THAT HIS CLIENT IS A DOG LOVER AND IS HEARTSICK OVER THIS ALLEGATION AND WILL FIGHT THE CHARGES VIGOROUSLY. WE ARE VERY CONFIDENT WE ARE GOING TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER SUCCESSFULLY. OF COURSE YOU WILL, WITH A PLEA BARGAIN. LETS BE HONEST, THE ONLY REASON THAT THIS $1,800 DOG WAS RETURNED BY A RELATIVE THE VERY NEXT DAY WAS THE VIDEO SURVEILLANCE THAT WAS REPEATEDLY SHOWN BY A LOCAL NEWS NETWORK. WHAT HER ATTORNEY SHOULD HAVE SAID, WITHOUT EMBARRASSING HIMSELF, MY CLIENT HAS PLEAD NOT GUILTY TO THE CHARGES AND LOOKS FORWARD TO HER DAY IN COURT.
