East Northport Teen Arrested Following Commercial Burglaries: Police arrested Jose Nunez-Garcia, 16, of East Northport, in Northport and East Northport, on March 20. Nunez-Garcia was later charged with four additional burglaries, including one at a Bank of America branch on Larkfield Road. He was sentenced to jail at Riverhead Correctional Facility, and made it past one layer of fence in an exercise yard before finding himself between multiple layers of security fencing and razor wire.

Man Behind Rash of Summer Bank Heists Arrested: After a in Nassau, Suffolk, and upstate, Police captured Michael Walsh, 58, of East Elmhurst, in Queens on July 29. Walsh had robbed the on June 30, the on July 6, the on July 26, and others, at gunpoint. He was found with cash, a weapon, and a police scanner at the time of arrest and charged with two counts of first degree robbery. Sgt. Tom Schramm, P.O.
