Suffolk Police Report: Weapons Possession; Forgery

Second Precinct arrests, May 20-24.

The following was taken from the crime blotter. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Edward Ohara, 22, from Northport was arrested in East Northport on May 24 and charged with two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of a firearm/weapon, and fifth degree criminal public possession of marijuana after he was allegedly found to be in possession of prescription pills and a switch blade during a traffic stop.
  • Sean Albinski, 18, from Commack and Jason Iannelli, 19, from East Northport were arrested at Larkfield and Burr Roads in East Northport on May 24. Albinski was charged with loitering and unlawful use of a controlled substance and Iannelli was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing prescription pills. 
  • Lawrence Chancey, 46, from Northport was arrested on 25A in Huntington on May 20 and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation for a suspended license and second degree forgery of an official document for allegedly having a fake inspection sticker on his car.
  • John Pericleous, 22, from East Northport was arrested at his home in East Northport on May 20 and charged with petty larceny for allegedly stealing an iPhone from 9th Avenue on April 20.
