Suffolk Police Report: School Vandalism Continues
The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County Police officers between July 27-Aug. 1.
The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following arrests were made between July 27-31:

- Martin Oster, 45, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on July 31 and charged with first and second degree criminal contempt for violating an order of protection.
- Victoria Sabatino, 24, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on July 29 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident which caused property damage.
- Jessica Schifano, 25, of Greenlawn, was arrested in East Northport on July 27 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
- Daniel Zapata, 46, of East Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on July 31 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: more than three suspensions.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between July 27-Aug. 1:

- Following a in which 17 windows were broken, a security guard at the reported on Aug. 1 that another six windows had been broken.
- On Aug. 1, a Locust Lane resident in Eaton's Neck reported that she had received harassing cell phone calls early in the morning.
- On July 28, someone stole two chainsaws, a back pack blower, and a weed whacker from a storage locker at on Old Northport Road in Fort Salonga.
- On Aug. 1, an East Northport man reported receiving threatening phone calls from a known male while he was in a restaurant in Commack.
- On July 28, a Fairfield Drive resident in Elwood reported that someone stole jewelry valued at more than $1000 from her home.
- On July 27, a Montauk Street resident in Elwood reported that she had received threatening phone calls from a man.
