Suffolk Police Incidents: Burglary; Mugging

Incidents reported in the second precinct between June 2 and 7.

The following incidents were reported by the Suffolk County Police in the second precinct between June 2 and 7.

  • Someone sent a letter to Huntington Town Hall making threats. The case is under investigation.
  • Two women reportedly stole Swarovski bracelets from Henri Bendel in Walt Whitman Mall. 
  • Damage was reported to a sign post in front of the Halesite Fire House.
  • A Huntington Station man reported a dispute with a medical transport worker. The worker reportedly went up the driveway and scratched a BMW when he was asked to walk across the lawn while pushing a client in a wheelchair.
  • A woman reportedly got out of her car and pushed another woman on Broadway in Huntington Station and subsequently got back in her car.
  • A burglary reportedly occurred early in the morning in East Northport. Jewelry, cash and an iPad were stolen.
  • A 1977 Ford Ranger pickup truck was reportedly stolen from Railroad Street in Huntington Station.
  • Cash, sneakers, and sunglasses were stolen from a home in East Northport. 
  • A man was mugged at Yan's Deli in Huntington Station and had his wallet stolen.
  • A woman was reportedly struck on the arm with a bat after a verbal argument escalated. She refused medical attention.
  • A man was punched in the face on Main Street in Huntington. He was taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment.
  • A woman's purse was stolen from Radio Bar (formerly Artful Dodger) in Huntington
