Suffolk Police Blotter: A Stolen Car, Corn Muffin, Leather Boots, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Nov. 20 – Dec. 1:

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Nov. 20 – Dec. 1:

Arrests:

  • A 17-year-old Northport man was arrested in Northport on Dec. 1 and charged with recklessly causing physical injury when he struck someone with his 2003 Mazda and left the scene of the accident.
  • An 18-year-old East Northport woman was arrested in East Northport on Dec. 1 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for possessing Oxycodone.
  • A 19-year-old Commack man was arrested in East Northport on Dec. 1 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for possessing Oxycodone, unlawful use of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
  • A 52-year old East Northport woman was arrested on Nov. 29 and charged with leaving the scene of a crime when her 2010 Lexus collided with a 2007 Acura on Cuba Hill Road.
  • A 23-year old Smithtown man was arrested on Nov. 27 in East Northport and charged with driving with a suspended license.
  • A 27-year old East Northport man was arrested in East Northport on Nov. 21 and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for violating an order of protection.
  • A 27-year old Fort Salonga man was arrested in Babylon on Nov. 29 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • An 18-year-old Northport woman was arrested in Lake Grove on Nov. 28 and charged with petit larceny for stealing jewelry from J.C. Penny in the Smithhaven Mall.
  • An 18-year old Northport woman was arrested in Commack on Nov. 25 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • A 42-year-old Northport man was arrested in Bay Shore on Nov. 22 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • An 18-year-old East Northport man was arrested in Commack on Nov. 29 and charged with petit larceny for stealing Yu-Gi-Oh cards from Target.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Nov. 20-30:

  • On Nov. 30, an East Northport woman reported that someone used her Bank of America card to purchase items at Stop and Shop without her consent.
  • On Nov. 29, an East Northport man reported that someone damaged the lock on a storage container at Bed, Bath, and Beyond on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport.
  • A Homesite Court resident in Elwood reported on Nov. 29 that someone smashed the windshield of her 1998 Nissan.
  • A Greenvale Drive resident in East Northport reported that someone stole the cover shield alloy wheel rim from his car on Nov. 29.
  • On Nov. 28, a Loret Lane resident in East Northport reported that someone stole a GPS and laptop from his car, and that he had captured the theft on his home security video.
  • On Nov. 26, a man reported that someone stole a corn muffin from the 7-Eleven on Pulaski Road in East Northport.
  • A 3rd Avenue resident in East Northport reported damage to the front window of his house, possibly by a BB gun, on Nov. 25.
  • An East Northport resident reported that jewelry, cash, and coins were taken from her Pulaski Road home sometime on Nov. 23.
  • On Nov. 21, a man reported that someone stole his 2001 Nissan Maxima from a parking lot on Larkfield Road in East Northport.
  • On Nov. 21, a Louisa Court resident in East Northport reported that someone threw eggs and broke the front window of his home.
  • On Nov. 19, someone broke the front glass door and stole cash and leather boots from Rapid Shoe Repair on Larkfield Road in East Northport.
  • A 2nd Street resident in East Northport reported on Nov. 20 that someone removed cash from both of her vehicles while they were parked in front of her home.
