Suffolk Police Arrests: Hit and Run; Felony DWI

Second Precinct arrests, July 26-Aug. 2.

The following arrests were reported in the Suffolk Police second precinct between July 26 and Aug. 2. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • A Huntington man was arrested on New York Avenue in Huntington and charged with third degree assault after he allegedly punched another man in the face with a cause fist, causing an injury that required medical treatment.
  • A Huntington Station man was arrested at his home and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. 
  • A Patchogue man was arrested at the Precinct and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injury after he allegedly hit a bicyclist while traveling eastbound on Little Plains Road in Huntington. The bicyclist was knocked to the ground and required medical treatment.
  • Three men were arrested and charged with petty larceny after they allegedly stole clothes from Renarts on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport.
  • Deborah Fernandez, 36, from Brooklyn was arrested at the Precinct and charged with felony DWI, previous conviction in 10 years. She was allegedly found parked on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport, sleeping and intoxicated, with her keys in the ignition. 
  • A Brentwood man was arrested at the Precinct and charged with third degree grand larceny for issuing a bad check.
