Suffolk County Police Report: Stolen Alfa Romeo; Another Smashed Mailbox

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County Police Officers between Aug. 29 and Sept. 5.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following arrests were made between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3:

  • Jeffrey Hagler, 45, of Melville, was arrested in Northport on Sept. 3 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • Denis O’Brien, 45, of Northport, was arrested in Northport on Aug. 30 and charged with second degree assault and DWI. First offense.
  • William Wagner, Jr., 49, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 3 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • Linda Abrams, 23, of Albany, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 1 and charged with second degree criminal contempt for violating a court order of protection.
  • Gregory Russo, 44, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Aug. 31 and charged with second degree criminal contempt for violating a court order of protection.
  • Patricia Brown, 54, of Northport, was arrested in East Northport for aggravated DWI.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Aug. 29 and Sept. 5 :

  • On Sept. 5, a 6th Street resident in East Northport reported that someone scratched the passenger side door of her 2011 Honda Accord while it was parked in front of her home.
  • On Sept. 4, a Laurel Road resident reported that a woman she knew had pushed her to the ground and pulled her hair.
  • On Sept. 2 a Park Avenue resident in Elwood reported that someone had stolen his 1988 Alfa Romeo while it was parked at his residence.
  • On Sept. 1 a Park Avenue resident in Elwood reported that a woman kept sending her harassing text messages.
  • Another mailbox was smashed, this time on Windsor Lane in East Northport on Sept. 1.
  • A Dover Place resident in East Northport reported on Aug. 31 that someone had damaged the deadbolt on the rear door of her home but had not gained entry.
  • On Aug. 30, an Ontario Street resident in Elwood reported that a man she knew had pounded on her door, causing dents.
  • On Aug. 29, a Normandy Drive resident in East Northport reported being slapped in the face by a man she knew.
