Police: E. Northport Bank Robbed

Capital One Bank hit by robber Thursday afternoon.

The Capital One Bank in East Northport was robbed Thursday afternoon, police said.

A man entered the bank, located at 291 Clay Pitts Road, around 1:50 p.m., approached a teller, and presented a note demanding cash, police said.

The teller complied with the demand and the man fled the bank westbound through the parking lot.

The robber is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-9, in his early 60s, with a thin build. He was wearing a knit cap, blue jeans and a black and white jacket.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
