Nick Macedonio Begins Second Term as Fire Commissioner
Incumbent wins East Northport FD race Tuesday.
Incumbent Nick Macedonio defeated challenger Mike Vespia in the East Northport Fire Department commissioner elections on Tuesday.
Macedonio will begin his second five-year term as commissioner on Jan. 1, 2013, ending on Dec. 31, 2017. He is a 32-year veteran of the ENFD and part of a three-generation family tradition.
He hopes to continue working with the board of commissioners and oversee efforts to get the East Northport Fire Department Headquarters Building fully updated.

"This year we have more projects getting ready to be started and I want to be there to take care of them," he said.
