Cops: Employees at 2 Northport Biz Sold to Minors

State Liquor Authority check Friday night yields three arrests at convenience stores in Northport, East Northport and Commack.

Employees at three area convenience stores were arrested Friday night after selling alcohol to underage customers, Suffolk County Police said. 

officers conducted a New York State Liquor Authority check at nine stores spanning Huntington, Greenlawn, Northport, East Northport and Commack.

The spot checks resulted in arrests of employees at , located at 670 Fort Salonga Rd., Northport; , located at 304 Larkfield Rd., East Northport; and Quick Stop, located at 6077 Jericho Turnpike, Commack.

Police charged three with unlawfully dealing with a child first degree: Bilal Kocak, 58, of East Northport, an employee at Northport Metro Mart; Erkan Boynuince, 50, of Northport, an employee of Food Star; and Mehmet Akpinar, 46, of Nesconset, an employee of Quick Stop. Each were given field appearance tickets and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
