Northport firefighters needed to cut away the driver side door to free a driver involved in a sideswipe accident on Waterside Road in Northport Wednesday morning, said.
The woman's car, a late model Nissan, spun out after colliding with a mini school bus also driving on Waterside, police said. The sideswipe accident sent the woman to an area hospital with minor injurires. The driver of the school bus, which was empty, was not injured.
Northport Police, respond to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. and closed the road for about an hour.
