Lambert 'Bus' Mack Dies at 70; Funeral Tuesday

Key figure in Eatons Neck youth basketball league. Viewing tonight at Nolan.

Lambert "Bus" Mack, a key figure in the Eatons Neck Youth Club, died Thursday.

He was 70 years old.

Mack, a Northport resident, was past president and a board member and referee with the club. He started out as an assistant coach and then moved on to head coach, division chairperson and then president. He was president of the group through the 1990s. He was the founder of senior night as well as the founder of the scholarship program. Mack served as a board member and a senior referee in the league.

The in Northport said Mack leaves his wife, Cindy (nee Koster) Mack; two sons, Greg (and his wife, Casey) and Jeff; a grandson, Aaron; and three sisters, Mary Ann McLaughlin, Barbie Whitty and Susan Magee. 

A viewing is scheduled for Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport Monday night from  7-9 p.m.  The funeral service is set for Tuesday at 11 a.m. , 120 Vernon Valley Road, East Northport.  Interment at Northport Rural Cemetery.
