Scouts to Lead New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge
Swimmers are invited to take the dive in support of the Northport Food Pantry.
There's nothing like a refreshing dip into Northport Bay...in January.
On New Year's Day, Boy Scout Troop 410 will hold its fifth annual Polar Bear Swim, a fundraiser, in which swimmers will dive into the chilly water at Steers Beach on Eaton’s Neck Road, to benefit the Northport Food Pantry.
The swim will take place Jan. 1 at noon. Swimmers are invited to join and collect as many sponsors as possible at $5 each.
