Opera Night in Northport

Long Island's, best singers.
$10 donation

Ten years ago this month, the flowering seeds of an "Opera Night" series
bloomed to fruition.  From a honky tonk piano in a small eclectic cafe on Main
Street, to many packed houses in larger venues, we celebrate these years with
excitement and joy. Sharing the gift of music with the loving help of
wonderfully talented singers and musicians was and continues to be our mission.
From its inception, the key players have always aspired to keep great opera in
the forefront.  Bittersweet it is that over the years many singers have moved on
to further their careers, but a telling testament to our series that they return
and that we are able to still maintain a core roster of fine artists. No easy
task for us to achieve our not for profit status, but achieve it we have and are
able to accept donations to grow our program and maintain and surpass our
standards. We in many ways have become an extended family and our next six
months have been planned. To the happiness of many, we have also re-instituted
our chamber segment and this for me is a special addition.  The highlights of
the past years took us to mansions, many beautiful churches, patrons houses, and
over the top galas.  A big part of our continued success is our audiences love
of great music.  Love of music is the common denominator that holds us together,
and the vastness of opera repertoire will insure that we will never run our of
ideas for performances.  We have hopes to continue our collaboration with local
artists whose works have always complimented what we do and conversely what we
do compliments the art.  What a pairing!  Join us this year and be enriched by
all that music has to offer.
