: Elwood Board of Education trustees approved a new APPR plan for teacher evaluations on June 29 following a sign-off by the Elwood Teachers Association and the administrative unit. 

: The newly renovated Wine Cellar on Main has opened for business on Main Street in the location which formerly held The Tasting Room. 

: A Suffolk County District Court judge has ordered an absentee landlord to restore an illegal multi-family apartment in East Northport back to a single-family state.

: A dead crow picked up in Northport on June 27 tested positive for West Nile Virus, according to an announcement issued by the Suffolk County Department of Health Monday.

: After early morning rain and clouds let up, the 4th of July  display went off without a hitch. Big crowds packed  and  before the start of the show at approximately 9:15 p.m.
