The Last Train Out of Town
Times for the last trains into and out of Northport before the LIRR begins shutting down service on Saturday for Hurricane Irene.
The Long Island Railroad will begin on all branches beginning noon Saturday in anticipation of Hurricane Irene. The following are the last trains to operate on the Port Jefferson/Huntington Branch:

Port Jefferson Branch
Eastbound: The 12:35 PM train from Huntington, due Port Jefferson at 1:26 PM.
Westbound: The 11:07 AM train from Port Jefferson, due Huntington at 11:53 AM.
The MTA urges customers not to wait for the last trains when making their travel plans.
