has been reopened to swimming by the Suffolk County Department of Health. The beach was closed on Aug. 6 after test samples showed unsafe levels of bacteria and has been closed multiple times this season.
Water samples were taken every day of the closure, said Suffolk Department of Health Spokesperson Grace Kelly-McGovern, and the water will continue to be tested throughout the summer.
