The Bellerose Avenue Elementary School PTA is sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday from 3 to 8:30 p.m.
Donors must be between 17 and 76 years old with special exceptions. 16 year olds must have written parental permission and weigh at least 110 pounds. See additional eligibility requirements here.
There is no easier or more direct way to affect someone's life than by donating blood. One donation can help save up to three people.
If you would like to make an appointment to donate blood at Bellerose, please call Shawne Albero at (631) 327-2051. Albero was a blood recipient herself in 2005 when she required two transfusions after an emergency surgery. Read more about her story here.
