The Fr. Thomas A. Judge Knights of Columbus will be hosting the opening round of the annual K of C Basketball Free-Throw Contest on Jan. 14 at Trinity Regional School gym on Fifth Avenue in East Northport. The contest is open to boys and girls ages 10 to 14. Contestants must bring a copy of their birth certificate.
Registration begins at 7:15 PM. The contest commences at 7:30 PM. Each contestant will shoot 15 free-throws. Winners for each age group will then move on to the district level contest on Feb. 21. After competing and making it through the district and regional level, the winner(s) will ultimately compete at the NY State finals to be held at West Point in April.
