Jan. 23: Northport BOE Meeting; Elwood Kindergarten Registration

Hello and welcome to the Monday edition of "The Daily Five," a rundown of things to know or do in the community.

Northport BOE: The will meet at the Laurel Avenue school at 7:30 p.m. The agenda is available on Board Docs.

Weather: Rain, mainly after 1pm. Areas of fog after 1pm. High near 50. East wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Kindergarten Registration: Parents can register their children for Kindergarten at the district offices on 478 Elwood Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trash Collection: Saturday's trash pickup cancelled by the Huntington Dept of Waste Management will be picked up on Tuesday.
