Trash Pickup Cancelled in Sandy's Wake

Trash collection on Monday and Tuesday has been suspended due to the potential impacts of Hurricane Sandy. Yardwaste collection on Monday and Tuesday has been suspended as well.

The collection schedule for the week will begin on Wednesday with bottles and cans recycling pick up. Thursday will be the only trash collection of the week for residents on Monday and Thursday routes. Friday will be the only collection day for residents with Tuesday and Friday collection routes. The yardwaste collection schedule for residents with Thursday and Friday collection days will remain unchnaged.

Town Small Business Center Celebrates One Year

The Huntington Small Business Resource and Recovery Center (HSBRRC) Town Hall celebrated its one year anniversary on Friday. A website is now available for anyone interested in researching their business issues via the web and utilizing the resources available online at www.hsrrc.org.

The HSBRRC, offers resources focused on supporting existing businesses by holding free seminars, designed to assist todays small business owner. The Center also offers to entrepreneurs and start-ups, information and ideas of how to start up a business entity, organize objectives and connect with banking, financial and legal services.

Bernie Ryba, a Certified Senior Business Advisor and Certified Public Accountant is available upon appointment to meet with individuals interested in consultation and seeking assistance.
