Why Go: The Northport Chorale is celebrating its 30th season of performing in the Northport Community. Music Director Nick Hart and his music committee have chosen a very beautiful and varied program for the Winter Concert with some original compositions by local and contemporary composers such as Richard Hyman's "First Candle." They will also be singing favorites such as "Baby Its Cold Outside," "Let It Snow," Rutter's "Silent Night," and selections from Mozart's "Vesperae Solennes."

FROSTY
Where/When: ; Saturday 11 a.m., Sunday 10:30 a.m.
Why Go: Join Frosty and his friend Jenny, as they try to save Chillsville from the evil Ethel Pierpot's plan to melt all the snow - including Frosty! This exciting twist on a holiday classic is sure to excite and entertain kids of all ages.

Where/When: ; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: In this light and funny suspense comedy by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson’s Motor Inn all is fair in love, even murder. Even though the murder attempts fail, the laughter triumphs amid the mirth-provoking situations and extravagant sight gags.
Pricing: $20 on Friday and Sunday, $25 on Saturday.

Where/When: ; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Why Go: Volunteers from the League for Animal Protection of Huntington will be available to wrap presents for donations to benefit the league and homeless animals.

Why Go: Pick up a unique holiday gift!

Where/When: ; Saturday, 12-2 p.m.
Why Go: Students need only attend one audition. Each audition will last about 20 minutes. Scripts will be given to use at the audition. Singing is NOT required, but if one would like to audition for a part with a vocal solo, please come prepared to sing 16 bars of any song they wish.

Where/When: ; Saturday, 12:30 p.m.
Why Go: A contemporary version of the ballet classic, The Nutcracker.  Featuring dancers from Stars of Tomorrow Dance Academy, this is a holiday show sure to dazzle and delight audiences young and old alike!
Pricing: $12, Proceeds to benefit the Elwood Booster Club.


Where/When: ; Saturday, 6 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate the holidays with an elegant, progressive dinner in the historic Vanderbilt Mansion, overlooking Northport Harbor.
Pricing: $100, Reservations must have been made by Nov. 28.


Where/When: ; Saturday, 9 p.m.
Why Go: Raise money for Building Homes for Heroes, a nonprofit that builds homes for veterans.
Pricing: No Admission fee, donations accepted.

FRIENDS OF THE FARM
Where/When: ; All Weekend
Why Go: Buy a carrot to feed the menagerie of animals at the farm including a cow, two families of goats, alpacas, sheep, peacocks, chickens, ducks, geese,  cats and an enormous spotted pig. All animal food and country store purchases will help support the nonprofit Friends of the Farm who need the community's help to support the farm during the winter season.
