Why Go: Volunteers from the League for Animal Protection of Huntington will be at the to cheerfully wrap your purchases. Wrapping is by donation and volunteers will gladly tell you more about the cats and dogs they work with and the work of the League.

Why Go: An evening of performed by Long Island's finest singers will begin at 7:30 p.m. at on Main Street. December's program will feature holiday music along with the regular program of arias and duets, with singers dressing in festive attire for the occasion. See our of of a past performance.

Why Go: Enjoy a yummy breakfast and visit with Santa, don't forget to bring your camera! Everyone in the school, church and community is invited. As always, all proceeds from the admission to the breakfast will be donated to the Union United Methodist Church's winter fuel bill. Stop and visit the 'Christmas Boutique' on your way in or out for gifts, decorations, and homemade chocolates and wreaths.

Why Go: Come spend the holidays with Cinderella, the Handsome Prince, and the Fairy Godmother in this delightful fairy tale. A highlight of Arena Players Children’s Theater is audience participation. At various times during the play, cast members invite kids in the audience to take part in the story.

Why Go: The of Northport will begin its annual Pearl Harbor Observance at St. Paul Methodist Church at 12:45 PM. After the service they will then march to the Harbor for Wreath Laying ceremonies. Refreshments will be served at the Post right after.

Why Go: Make an appointment to help Christmas wishes for children at Stony Brook Hospital come true. Cuts, blow-outs and holiday hair extensions will be available. All proceeds will be used to grant holiday wishes through the Child Life Program.

Why Go: This family-friendly event will partially benefit the Northport-E. Northport Community Theater. Come on down for a bite to eat and some good cheer! Bring along your family and friends for a lovely way to continue enjoying the holiday season!

Where/When: Christ the King Church, Commack; Sunday 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Based on the traditional service from Kings College, Cambridge, Christ the King parish adds its own touch, with readers of all ages and music led by the adult choir and junior schola, cantors, handbell ringers and instrumentalists.
