Artist Exhibit Opening Reception; 'Summerland' Concert

2. Artist Exhibition Opening Reception: Gerry Hirschstein will be exhibiting his pastels, food-inspired works, portraiture and still lifes. 7-9 p.m. at . FREE

3. Outdoor Concert: "The Precisions," back by popular demand, will perform in the courtyard of the at 7:30 p.m. They hit the national record charts with their 1962 arrangement of George and Ira Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me” and have performed with top artists of the era and also with Alan Freed, Murray the K, and the WABC “All Americans” in appearances at the Brooklyn Fox, the New York Paramount, and the legendary Apollo Theater. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Library’s Community Room and NENPL Library Card holders will be seated first. FREE

4. Summerland 2012: Sugar Ray, Everclear, LIT, Gin Blossoms & Marcy Playground play at The Paramount in Huntington. 8 p.m. $50
