2013 Easter Events for the Kids

Egg hunts and Easter bunny appearances in the Northport and Huntington area.

Visit with the Easter Bunny, enjoy art activities, listen to music, fill up on treats, hunt for eggs, and more with these Huntington and Northport area Easter week events for kids.

Northport Village Egg Hunt

Bring the kids to Main Street Saturday between 1 and 4 p.m. to meet the Easter Bunny and receive some yummy treats. On Sunday at 1 p.m., join in the annual Northport/Centerport Lions Club Easter egg hunt in the village park overlooking Northport's beautiful harbor. Kids should bring baskets.

'Eggstravaganza' at Heckscher Park

In addition to treat-filled eggs there will be spring crafts and face painting and temporary tattoos. Participants are asked to bring a canned good item to donate to a local food pantry and bring baskets or bags to collect goodies. Event starts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Huntington's Heckscher Park. Caumsett State Park Egg Hunt

Bring your basket and join the fun in the walled garden at Caumsett State Park in Lloyd Harbor on Saturday at 11 a.m. Activities include a petting zoo, egg decorating and more.

Manor Farm Egg Hunt

Huntington's Manor Farm will host its first egg hunt on Saturday at 1 p.m. Bring an empty egg carton. A $5 event charge goes toward Starflower Experiences.

CSH Fish Hatchery Egg Hunt

Kids of all ages are invited to the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery for an egg hunt on Saturday at 10 a.m. Bring your own basket and collect eggs filled with both treats for kids and treats for the fish. Free with paid admission to the hatchery. Call 516-692-6768 for information.

CSH Lion's Club Egg Hunt

The Lion's host their annual egg hunt at the Francis Roberts Community Center on Saturday at 10 a.m. sharp featuring prizes and egg races. Ages 12 and under only. The egg hunt is free, but all visitors are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to help the Huntington Food Council.

St. Peter's Church Egg Hunt

St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Huntington is holding an egg hunt on Saturday at 11 a.m. sharp, rain or shine.
