Many companies choose to relocate their employees during the holiday seasons.  Why? Because there are more holidays which means more vacation or factory shut downs than the rest of the year. The children of these employees are often off for an extended break during Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas. This gives the families the option of traveling together and searching for real estate along with their children. 

Most companies or larger corporations also finish their fiscal year in October which then leaves time in November for restructuring and relocating.

If you are considering a sale this year and are fearful that homes don’t sell now, fear not! There are many serious shoppers out now looking for quality real estate!  Less competition in the market means that there is more potential for you as a seller to “sell”!

Waiting for the spring certainly sounds great but in fact, you will have increased competition which could result in less money in your pocket. Many “window shoppers” are out looking for decorating ideas in the spring market as well.

There are ALWAYS serious buyers out there: they don’t shop by the weather, they shop when they need a home! Relocation is just one potential source, there are many others and weather does not play a part in any of their decisions!
