'The Beauty Queen of Leenane' at Bare Bones Theater

Catch Bare Bone's Theater's production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane, a sizzling black comedy that pits a 40-year-old spinster against her cantankerous and controlling mother in an isolated cottage in the hills of Ireland.  

Written by Martin McDonagh, one of Ireland's greatest living playwrights, the play had a highly acclaimed run on Broadway, garnering a Tony nomination for Best Play in 1998.  

Long Island stage stars Debbie Starker and Linda May play alongside seasoned Bare Bones actors Sean King and Jim Staehlin. This treat showcases the Bare Bones mission of providing entertainment that matters.

Directed by Jeff Bennett; produced by Alex Edwards-Bourdrez.  Bare Bones Theater Company is located at 57 Main Street, Northport.

Eight performances will be held over two weekends: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, at 8 PM; Sundays, July 14, 21, at 7 PM.  Tickets are $25 and available at  www.brownpapertickets.com/event/401118.  More information is at www.barebonestheater.com.
