Get in the spooky spirit with the top holiday films for adults and kids.

Elwood Cinemas will be offering free movie showings for kids and families to celebrate Halloween.

This Sunday, at 10 a.m., residents will have option to see either showing ‘Casper,’ starring Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci or ‘Halloweentown,’ starring Debbie Reynolds and Kimberly J. Brown. Both movies are family friendly with a few spooky thrills. Seating is first come, first served. All children are invited to wear their costumes. The theater will also have treats for the kids as they exit the theater.

The real horror sets in on Halloween night, at 9:30 p.m., with a free showing of the original horror classic ‘Halloween,’ starring Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie is rated R and no one younger than 17 will be admitted without a parent. The showing is first come, first served and adults are also welcome to come in costume.
