East Northport filmmaker Dave Campfield’s latest comedy-horror, Caesar & Otto’s Deadly Xmas will be released nationally Nov. 19.
The film will be available at video rental stores such as Blockbuster and Family Video, and then on Video on Demand.
Campfield and Paul Chomicki, also a Long Island native, star as two Abbott and Costello inspired nitwits who find themselves in horrific situations. Linnea Quigley is also featured in the film.
The comedic horror movie had a successful run at genre film festivals where it picked up awards for Best Screenplay at Philadelphia’s Terror Film Festival, Best Actor at San Antonio’s Horrific Film Fest, second place overall at Elvira’s Horror Hunt, and Best screenplay at Long Island’s Macabre Faire film fest, according to a press release.
“I loved this film,” Devil’s Reject’s star Bill Mosley, said
Upon its release, a DVD release party will be held at 112 Video in Medford.
“I’ve been pursuing film my entire life. I struggle day in day out to attain this goal, knowing full well how unrealistic it is. But I do it because I love it, and will stick with it until the bitter end,” Campfield said.
