A round up of things going on in and around Northport today.

It's Wednday, over-the-hump day, so called because if you make it through Wednesday it's smooth going until the weekend when used in the context of climbing a proverbial hill to get through a tough week, according to UrbanDictionary.com.

Today, there are several ways to embrace over-the-hump day.

  1. The East Northport Chamber of Commerce is meeting this morning at 8 a.m. at and Pastry Shoppe. The board usually meets at night. The chamber extends an open invitation to local business people to attend chamber meetings.
