USMMA Band Marches On

Dressed in their midshipmen's finest, members of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Marching Band took part in the Cow Harbor Day Parade Sunday in Northport.
The band usually numbers about 100, but half were out to sea, according to the director. No matter. Their dress blue tops, lock-step performance and choice of music were real crowd pleasers as they paraded down Main Street.
Their show-stopper: The theme from the TV series "Hogan's Heroes," the aptly titled "March."
