Tell Us: Where Are the Potholes in Northport?

With winter in full swing, let’s identify the streets that need repair.

By Adina Glenn

Potholes! It’s the equivalent of a curse on Long Island.

These gravelly, asphalt mini graves are the scourge of any commute, spilling coffee and jarring your teeth at every opportunity.

Winter isn't over, but some roads around Northport and East Northport already need fixing.

Pothole season has been particularly bad this year across Long Island due to this winter's wide temperature shifts. Several lanes on the Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway were shut down Sunday for pothole repairs, clogging traffic.

Patch is on a quest to uncover the roadways and intersections with the worst potholes. So sound off in the comments section and sound the alarm. Your car – and that minivan full of kids on the way to lacrosse practice – will thank you.

Patch will forward the comments to the town highway departments.

There are so many along heavily travelled 25A between Northport and Centerport difficult to list them all but came across a very LARGE one this morning which appeared next to crosswalk on east side of 25A and intersection of Elwood Road, also very bad with multiple ones at 25A and Sandy Hollow Road

Michael is right, but it's a State Road and today I was going to call 1 800 POTHOLE. My street has needed paving for the last 5 years. All we get is "The Patch Repair" a quick fix that never lasts to long.
