Teen Photo Showcase Opening Sunday

The exhibit will be displayed at the Northport -East Northport Public Library on Laurel Avenue.

The Northport Public Library will hold an opening reception for “I Matter,” a teen community art project Sunday at 2 p.m.

The teen's photographs will displayed as a public declaration of self-worth.

The "I Matter" project is a facet of the "Just Like Me Program" - a drug prevention program for Long Island teens and a call to action to educate, inspire and motivate teens to make a positive difference, in their own lives, and in their community. No registration is required to attend.

Those in attendance will meet Rob Goldman, director of the program and project founder, as well as students who supported the town-wide social impact program.
