Let's Win This: Northport Lawyer Seeks Votes for Maxim 'Hotties' Contest

Camila Medici isn't shy, and she wants you to know it.

The Northport native is asking her community to back her bid to become one of Maxim's "Hometown Hotties 2014." The contest, run by the men's magazine, seeks out sexy women in neighborhoods across the country and asks readers to vote for them in a series of elimination rounds.

"They say it takes a Village...well, I have just made it to the Maxim Hometown Hotties Competition, and you can vote for me and our hometown once a day," Medici, who works as an attorney, wrote on an announcement posted on Patch. "Thank you in advance for your support! Let's win this! Tweet it, forward it and spread the word!"

If she wins, Medici will be featured on the magazine cover, will earn around $25,000 in prizes and will represent Maxim at a handful events for a year, she told Patch through Twitter.

In fact, Medici, who is currently a semi-finalist, is doing the bulk of her self-promotion on Twitter, where she's posted a handful of photos of herself in more than a few revealing string bikinis.

Medici runs her own law firm in Melville, Medici Law P.C., specializing in worker's compensation cases. In her description, Medici explains how she previously worked for a larger law firm, in the worker's comp division, before breaking out on her own.

"I wanted a firm that was in sync with the needs and advancements of today; a firm that recognized the individual needs of human-beings and purpose of life, which is happiness," she writes on her firm's mission statement.

While her day job might show off her brains, in her entry video for Maxim, Medici said she signed up for the contest because "what's under this suit is worth seeing."

But don't take that to mean she doesn't have a more complex point of view about femininity.

Medici offers this maxim of her own as her Twitter tagline: "I don't want to be seen equal to a man. I just want my womanly differences to be accepted as equally great."
