Participants help raise funds and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its life saving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health issue. The funds raised save lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and life-affirming patient services.

During Relay for Life, teams of students, parents, and community members will gather at Northport High School’s track field and take turns walking or running laps for 12 hours rain or shine. The event is held from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. to represent the fact that cancer never sleeps.
