Lyrics from one of my favorite Bob Dylan songs, Desolation Row. To post the whole song would be boring and too much of a downer, but it paints a surreal picture of a small seaside town, in another time.
We all go through life sort of on a set course and often get shuttered when that course gets stopped or broken. Some people don't like surprise. But the great mystery of life is that we really don't know what tomorrow will bring....and if we could have our future told, it all might be alright.

My restaurant is small, cozy and has a nostalgic look that also takes you to another time. Each place is unique by its history and by the people that created them. I sometimes imagine it to be like the place in the song, in Venice its about to rain or storm and outside the restaurant sits a fortune telling lady....who gathers her things inside. Its fun to take ourselves on imaginary trips like that!
This weekend, I am creating an imaginary trip to this seaside town where the circus is in town, Cinderella, Robin Hood, Romeo are in the street and the fortune teller lady tells your fates. On Sunday we will be hosting card reading by Marjorie www.jazzablancaentertainment.com
