Gonzalez’s photos are now being shown to the international community in order to raise awareness of domestic violence and to help stop violence against women. Out of hundreds of entries, approximately 20 images were accepted for the exhibition to represent emerging photographers from New York.

“I am honored and humbled to have my work displayed at this exhibition,” said Gonzalez. “I have traveled to dozens of countries and have always enjoyed photographing women—capturing their inner beauty, their struggles, their culture…I am thrilled to have my work displayed in such an important and meaningful exhibition in Italy.”
